Lynda Cassels

Lynda grew up in Victoria and has been practising family and estates law here since 1999. She focuses her practice on the legal issues that arise in families as a result of major life transitions, including separation and divorce, marriage and remarriage, the death of a loved one, or the diminishing mental capacity of a family member.

Trained in mediation and collaborative law, Lynda is dedicated to helping her clients resolve family and estate disputes in a practical, respectful and cost-effective manner. She also assists clients with adoptions, wills and estate planning, administration of estates, committeeships and marriage agreements.

Lynda received her law degree from the University of Victoria in 1998. Accredited by the Law Society of British Columbia as a family law mediator, Lynda is a member of the Victoria Collaborative Family Separation Professionals (collaborative family law group) and the International Association of Collaborative Professionals, and currently serves on the executive of the Elder Law and Family Law (Victoria) sections of the Canadian Bar Association, BC Branch. When not in the office she enjoys being with her family, playing music with friends and spending time outdoors.
